台風の時は何が怒るか予測不能!!
ローカルでさえも『今日は波小さめだろうな〜』と海へ出ると、、、、
予想以上の波が入ってきていてびっくり、なんてシチュエーションよくあります!!
海域に台風が発生している時、サーフィンはダイビングができる確率よりも高く、恐らく暴風域ギリギリまで波に乗ることができます。
ただし、判断を誤った場合、大きな事故に繋がる可能性が非常に高く、周りの人にも迷惑をかけてしまうので過信をせず必ず上級者サーファーと一緒に海へでるようにしてください。
今回の台風１８号も大きな被害が残りませんように。

It is impossible to predict exactly what will happen during a typhoon!
Even locals might head out thinking, “The waves will probably be small today,” only to be surprised by waves far bigger than expected—this happens all the time.
When a typhoon is active in the region, the chances of being able to surf are higher than those for diving; in fact, you can often keep riding waves right up until the storm’s gale-force wind zone closes in.
However, a misjudgment can easily lead to a serious accident and put others at risk. Do not be overconfident; always make sure to head out with an advanced surfer.
Let’s hope Typhoon No. 18 doesn’t leave behind any major damage.
